Paul McCartney has added another date to summer's hottest ticket: The 'Out There' world tour will touch down at the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina—marking Paul’s historic first ever performance in the city of Greensboro.

A MICROPHONE used by The Beatles when they played live in Hull in 1964 has been sold for £7,500. An imitation tortoiseshell plectrum used by John Lennon at the same concert fetched £4,000. The Reslosound Ltd RBT/L ribbon microphone was owned and used by The Beatles in the early 1960s. It was given to a fan after their show at the ABC Theatre in Hull city centre on October 16,1964.

Paul McCartney uploaded a video to his YouTube page this afternoon (June 24th) with an update on how he’s feeling and details on rescheduled tour dates.

The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger 24 June, 2014 - 0 Comments

It’s hard not to go into a show like The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger without just a little bit of apprehension and a whole lot of awe.  The apprehension comes from the fact that this might be some kind of vapid vanity project, considering the two members are Sean Lennon, son of one of the most revered people in the history of people (John Lennon); the other is Charlotte Kemp Muhl, a model and Lennon’s girlfriend.  And the awe comes from the fact that you’re standing in the room with (only the slightest bit of hyperbole) “royal blood”.

He has been in recovery after being struck down with a mystery illness during his tour of the Far East in May. So it’s no surprise Sir Paul McCartney opted to get away on a sunshine break as he was pictured enjoying a day at the beach in Ibiza on Sunday.

Lennon at the Royal Court, Liverpool 23 June, 2014 - 0 Comments

Any show that starts with Liverpool's favourite Beatles song was always going to be onto a winner. In My Life has topped each of our readers’  polls of favourite Beatles songs in the last few years, and it was a fitting start to a tale talking the life story of one of the city’s favourite sons.

Catalina Island Museum event celebrating the 50th anniversary of The Beatles' "A Hard Day's Night"

We are screening the film in the historic Avalon Theatre on Catalina Island on Sunday, July 6 at 7 pm. Pattie Boyd - former wife of George Harrison and later Eric Clapton - will be in attendance and has agreed to a rare interview immediately following the film.

Following England's hard day's night against Uruguay, members of the Three Lions squad have amusingly been mocked up as The Beatles on the front page of Brazilian newspaper Lance.

‘Save Us’ Fan Video 22 June, 2014 - 0 Comments

We recently asked you to pick a line from Paul’s song ‘Save Us’ then represent that lyric in a creative way. We received thousands of entries! Though we expected a big response we were still astonished by the volume, quality and originality of your photos. Thank you!

The last time Paul McCartney played Candlestick Park he was a Beatle.  That concert turned out to be their last together as a band.  Fittingly, Paul’s concert in August at The Stick will be its last – Candlestick will be torn down following the event – so this will be a very special show for Paul, for San Francisco, and we hope for you as well.
